Pegasus Decides on Financial Leasing for 8 Airbus A321neo Aircraft

Pegasus Airlines announced via a disclosure to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) that it has taken an important decision regarding the financing of eight Airbus A321neo aircraft planned to join its fleet.
According to the decision taken by the company’s Board of Directors, the financing of the eight A321neo aircraft, which are scheduled to be delivered by the end of 2026 under the 2012 Airbus Order, will be provided through financial leasing.
The statement noted that the financing methods and terms to be applied for the aircraft, as well as the financing institutions, will be determined by the company’s management through a process of collecting and evaluating offers, either for all aircraft collectively or for one or more aircraft individually. Developments related to the financing process will be disclosed to investors in Pegasus’ financial reports under the headings of financial instruments and finance lease liabilities.
Pegasus’ disclosure also included details on the scope of the 2012 Airbus Order. Accordingly, the order covers a total package of 100 aircraft originally placed in 2012 and finalized in 2017 when option aircraft were converted into firm orders. This package includes 42 A320neo and 58 A321neo aircraft. In addition, it was stated that an additional 50 A321neo aircraft ordered in 2021, 2022, and 2023 are also included within the scope of the 2012 Airbus Order.
