Passengers Seeking to Leave Israel Cause Congestion

As military tensions between Israel and Iran continue to escalate, a large number of passengers attempting to leave the country caused congestion and tension at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport.

According to local media reports, a decision to limit departing flights from Israel to 100 passengers per flight for security reasons led to confusion at the airport. Some passengers who had tickets but were unable to board due to the passenger cap reacted to the situation.

It was reported that on some flights the passenger limit was briefly increased to 200, but after the restriction was reinstated to 100 passengers, many people who had arrived at the airport were unable to board their flights. The situation led to disputes inside the terminal, prompting the deployment of police teams to the scene.

Israeli airline El Al stated that the measures were implemented in accordance with security directives issued by the Israeli military’s Home Front Command and apologized to passengers for the inconvenience.

Israel’s Ministry of Transport also confirmed that departing flights from the country were limited to 100 passengers due to security considerations.
