During Air India flight #AI2336 from Delhi to Bangkok, operated by an Airbus A320neo (registration VT-RTS), a disturbing incident occurred involving a Japanese passenger. Sunil Masand, seated in 2D, urinated on fellow passenger Hiroshi Yoshizane in seat 1D after consuming alcohol during the flight.
Air India, owned by the Tata Group, has temporarily banned Sunil Masand from flying for 30 days. Based on the findings of an independent committee, other airlines may also consider taking similar action.
In a statement, the airline said: “Air India confirms an incident involving unruly passenger behavior reported to the cabin crew on flight #AI2336 from Delhi to Bangkok on April 9, 2025. The crew followed all procedures and reported the matter to the appropriate authorities.”
