Pakistan Introduces Visa-on-Arrival for “Islamabad Talks 2026”

Pakistan has announced the introduction of a visa-on-arrival policy for delegates and journalists traveling to the country for “Islamabad Talks 2026.”

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar stated that airlines will be instructed to allow eligible passengers to board without a visa, with visas to be issued upon arrival in Pakistan. Authorities also confirmed that dedicated support desks have been established at relevant airports to facilitate the process.

“Islamabad Talks 2026” refers to diplomatic negotiations hosted by Pakistan, bringing together delegations from Iran and the United States. According to Pakistani media and international sources, the talks are seen as a continuation of recent ceasefire and negotiation efforts between the U.S. and Iran, with Pakistan positioning the initiative as a step toward reducing regional tensions and maintaining a diplomatic resolution framework.
