Oman Air’s Transformation Fuels 2025 Growth, Expanding Footprint Across Europe

Muscat, Oman, 9 February 2026: Oman Air has reported strong commercial performance in 2025, marking a key milestone in the airline’s ongoing transformation programme and underscoring its growing presence and relevance across European markets. During the year, the Muscat-based airline carried almost 6 million passengers globally, representing an 8% increase versus 2024. Europe continued to play an increasingly important role in this performance, with passenger volumes across the region growing by 29% year-on-year, supported by capacity growth of 13% and improved load factors across key European routes.
A notable driver of performance in 2025 was the continued rise in point-to-point travel, with 64% of passengers flying directly into Oman, an unprecedented 34% year-on-year increase. This trend reflects growing demand from European travellers for direct access to Oman, alongside the airline’s strengthened proposition for connecting traffic via Muscat. Increasingly recognised as a compelling year-round destination, Oman offers visitors a distinctive mix of diverse natural beauty and rich cultural heritage, positioning it as an attractive alternative to more crowded regional markets.
Commenting on the results, Con Korfiatis, Oman Air’s Chief Executive Officer, said, “2025 was a defining year for Oman Air. The progress we’ve made reflects the discipline and focus of our transformation strategy, and Europe has been a key part of that journey. By strengthening our network, enhancing partnerships and offering travellers more direct access to Oman, we’re seeing stronger demand, higher-quality revenue and a growing appreciation of what Oman Air represents. These results position us well for the next phase of sustainable growth, both in Europe and across our wider network.”
Expanding Europe’s Connectivity to Oman and Beyond
In 2025, Oman Air continued to strengthen its European network through a combination of new route launches, increased frequencies and strategic partnerships. The introduction of flights to
Amsterdam and Copenhagen, alongside continued investment in established European gateways like London, further expanded access between Europe and Oman.
Oman Air’s entry into the oneworld Alliance in mid-2025 also significantly strengthened its appeal in Europe, instantly extending the airline’s global reach to nearly 900 destinations and offering European travellers greater connectivity, seamless transfers and enhanced frequent flyer benefits when travelling to Oman and beyond.
Meanwhile, Oman Air’s growing presence in Europe is underpinned by a strong product proposition. The airline has been recognised as an APEX World Class airline for the last two years and continues to receive industry recognition for its onboard service and customer experience. Operating a modern fleet of Boeing 787 Dreamliners and Boeing 737 aircraft, Oman Air offers guests a premium yet accessible travel experience, complemented by its signature Omani hospitality.
