Massive Order of 71 Aircraft from IAG

International Airlines Group (IAG), which includes British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, and LEVEL, has placed a total order of 71 aircraft with Airbus and Boeing to strengthen its fleet. The group has also secured options for additional aircraft.

Under the order, Airbus will deliver 21 A330-900s, with an additional option for 13 more aircraft. These A330-900s are planned to join the fleets of Aer Lingus, Iberia, or LEVEL. In addition, 6 A350-900s have been ordered for Iberia’s fleet, while British Airways will receive 6 A350-1000s.

On the Boeing side, British Airways has ordered 32 B787-10s, along with an option for 10 more. IAG has also ordered 6 Boeing 777-9s, which will be added to the British Airways fleet for long-haul and high-capacity operations.
