Major Investment from Pegasus at Sabiha Gökçen: Hangar Construction Begins

👉🏼 Pegasus Airlines is launching a major investment at Sabiha Gökçen Airport to strengthen its technical capabilities and enhance the efficiency and flexibility of its maintenance operations. The Line Maintenance and Aircraft Painting hangars are scheduled to be operational by December 2025, while the Base Maintenance hangar is expected to open in September 2026.
👉🏼 Pegasus Airlines CEO Güliz Öztürk commented, “With our new hangar projects under construction at Sabiha Gökçen Airport, we are investing not only in our fleet but also in the future of our technical maintenance capacity.” The total project will span a covered area of 87,500 m². Once the first phase of the Base Maintenance hangar is completed, it will be able to simultaneously service 5 narrow-body or 1 wide-body aircraft. When the second phase is complete, this capacity will increase to 10 narrow-body or 2 wide-body aircraft. The Line Maintenance and Painting hangars will be capable of servicing 4 narrow-body aircraft and painting 1 narrow-body aircraft simultaneously.
👉🏼 Öztürk emphasized that these investments will further strengthen Pegasus’ operational power and support its sustainable growth.
