Majid Khan attracted six airlines to Saudi Arabia as soon as he took office

Majid Khan, formerly Vice President of Aviation Development at İGA (Istanbul Airport), has been CEO of the Saudi Air Connectivity Program (ACP) since the beginning of this year.

ACP, under the Ministry of Tourism of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, was established to provide access to the Kingdom from underserved countries worldwide. ACP works at the center of tourism and aviation, bridging the stakeholder ecosystem to realize the vision of the National Tourism Strategy and make Saudi Arabia a global leader in tourism air connectivity. Khan answered Sam Chui’s questions at the Airport Council World (ACI World) conference, which kicked off in Riyadh.

“Since the beginning of this year, we have managed to attract 3 Chinese airlines (Air China, China Southern and China Eastern) and 3 European airlines (ITA, Eurowings and British Airways). We are leading Saudi Arabia’s air connectivity. It is the single point of contact for our 29 airports. We cooperate with airlines to improve air connectivity. We aim to attract 150 million tourists by 2030 as part of our national tourism strategy.”
