Maintenance Accident in Johannesburg: 3 Injured as 737 Nose Collapses

A serious accident occurred during routine maintenance of a Boeing 737-400 aircraft operated by Bid Air Cargo/Africa Charter Airlines at Johannesburg O.R. Tambo International Airport.

The aircraft’s nose section struck the ground after the forward jack collapsed during maintenance.

Three technicians working underneath the aircraft were seriously injured in the accident.
