Lufthansa Suspends Tehran Flights Until January 28

German airline Lufthansa has temporarily suspended its flights to Tehran until January 28, 2026, due to ongoing protests in Iran. The decision was announced by the company’s press office.

Lufthansa officials had previously stated that flights could resume on January 16 despite protests that began in late December 2025. However, in light of current developments in Iran, the airline decided to suspend operations to Tehran.

In a statement, the company said: “Due to the ongoing situation in Iran, Lufthansa has decided, effective Monday, to suspend its flights to Tehran up to and including Wednesday, January 28.”
