As of June 4, 2025, Lufthansa has rolled out free messaging services across its entire global network. Previously limited to short- and medium-haul A320 family flights, the offering now includes all long-haul routes as well.
Passengers can send and receive unlimited texts and photos via apps like WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and Telegram. To access the service, travelers simply need to log in to the FlyNet portal using their Miles & More number or Lufthansa Group Travel ID. Those without an account can easily register during the flight.
