The Lufthansa Group has announced that it has chosen Starlink for its inflight internet service. The company stated that high-speed internet infrastructure will be installed on approximately 850 aircraft across its fleet.
Starlink-powered internet access will be offered free of charge in all travel classes for members of the Lufthansa Group’s loyalty program. The installation process is set to begin this year, with a gradual rollout planned through 2029.
The Lufthansa Group includes Lufthansa Airlines as well as Swiss, Austrian Airlines, ITA Airways, Brussels Airlines, and Eurowings. Some regional airlines within the group are also expected to be included in the program.
With the new system, the aim is to provide passengers with faster and more reliable internet connectivity throughout their flights.
