LOT Polish Aircraft Skids Off Taxiway at Vilnius Airport

A passenger aircraft belonging to LOT Polish Airlines, an Embraer E170STD operating flight #LO771 from Warsaw to Vilnius International Airport (VNO) on Thursday afternoon, skidded off the paved surface while taxiing towards the parking stand after leaving the runway at approximately 13:43 local time.
The aircraft reportedly came to a stop in the grass area on the north side of the airport. Immediately following the incident, the airport emergency teams, including ARFF (Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting) vehicles, were quickly dispatched to the scene.
No Fatalities or Injuries
According to statements from LOT Polish Airlines officials and airport spokespersons, the passengers onboard were safely disembarked from the aircraft, and no injuries have been reported so far in the incident.
Flights Suspended
The airport’s main runway has been temporarily closed due to the incident. The airport management announced that they expect operations to be suspended until at least 17:00. This situation may cause delays and cancellations for other flights landing at or departing from Vilnius.
