Let’s Not Lose Our Phones on the Plane

An Air France Boeing 777, registered F-GZNE, operating flight #AF852 from Paris Orly to Pointe-à-Pitre, was forced to return to Paris Orly Airport approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes after departure due to a passenger losing their mobile phone inside the cabin. Following safety procedures, all 12 crew members and 375 passengers were brought back to Paris.
ℹ️ Due to potential risks associated with lithium-ion batteries in electronic devices, lost mobile phones are considered a flight safety concern. As a result, the captain decided to return to the departure airport.
The aircraft landed safely, with no emergency situation reported during the return. After landing, the technical teams conducted a thorough cabin inspection to locate the missing phone.
