Legal Action Looms Over Heathrow Shutdown

The Heathrow Airline Operators’ Committee (HAOC), which represents over 90 airlines operating at Heathrow Airport, has stated it may pursue legal action if a resolution is not reached over the costs incurred during the airport’s full-day closure on Friday.
HAOC CEO Nigel Wicking expressed hope that the issue can be resolved amicably, but signaled that airlines may take legal steps if their losses are not compensated.
Heathrow Airport was forced to shut down early Friday morning due to a major fire at an electrical substation, which brought all operations to a near standstill.
