KLM has announced that it will cancel numerous flights in the coming weeks after identifying urgent maintenance needs on several Boeing 787 aircraft. The airline stated that the number of daily cancellations may vary and exact figures have yet to be finalized.
The decision follows the discovery of incorrect maintenance procedures on seven of its Boeing 787s. In response, KLM has launched an accelerated inspection and repair program. Some flights originally scheduled with 787s will instead be operated by Boeing 777s.
