Juneyao Air Expands Fleet with Massive $4.1 Billion Deal: 25 Airbus A320s Incoming

• Shanghai-based Juneyao Air has announced that it will sign an agreement with Airbus to purchase 25 Airbus A320 series aircraft. Valued at approximately $4.1 billion at list prices, this deal is being executed in line with the company’s growth objectives.
• Following the receipt of necessary state approvals, the aircraft are planned to be delivered in batches between 2028 and 2032.
• Airline management stated that this move aligns with market demand and will contribute to the long-term development strategy by increasing the company’s carrying capacity.
• It was announced that the acquisition cost will be covered by the company’s own funds, commercial bank loans, and alternative financing methods. While payments are planned to be made in installments, this process is not expected to have a negative impact on the company’s cash flow or operations.
• The company also noted that thanks to significant price discounts provided by Airbus, the actual transaction price will be significantly lower than the $4.1 billion list price.
• According to July 2025 data, Juneyao Air, which operates 93 Airbus A320 series aircraft and 10 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, continues to strengthen its fleet with these new orders.
• One of the world’s most preferred commercial aircraft, the A320 family contributes to airline operational efficiency with its single-aisle structure, 150-180 seat capacity, and range of up to 6,200 kilometers.
