Italy’s flag carrier, ITA Airways, has officially joined Star Alliance. This development further strengthens the alliance’s network in Italy while offering passengers enhanced connectivity and more transfer options.
With ITA Airways’ induction, the number of Star Alliance member airlines has risen to 26. The alliance network now provides access to more than 1,150 destinations worldwide, offering travelers a broader range of connection possibilities.
Under this new membership, passengers will benefit from loyalty program advantages, access to over 1,000 lounges, seamless baggage tracking, and priority services. ITA Airways is expected to make significant contributions to the alliance, particularly through its flight hubs in Rome and Milan.
