Israel’s “Air Force One” Relocated to Athens Over Security Concerns

Israel’s official government aircraft, commonly known as the Wing of Zion, has landed in Athens, Greece, carrying high-ranking state officials. The move was made as a precaution amid concerns over a potential retaliatory strike from Iran.

The aircraft is used by Israeli President Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for official international visits and is considered one of the country’s most strategically vital assets. Its temporary relocation to Greece comes in response to the heightened threat of Iranian retaliation.

Earlier reports had suggested the aircraft was moved to Cyprus, but Cypriot authorities denied those claims. Greek media outlets have since published the aircraft’s flight plan.
