India-based airline IndiGo will begin making a technical fuel stop at Ras Al Khaimah Airport in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on its Delhi (DEL) and Mumbai (BOM) to Istanbul (IST) services starting March 1, 2026.
From the same date, the leasing agreement between IndiGo and Turkish Airlines for Boeing 777 aircraft will come to an end. As a result, the aircraft type operating on the Delhi–Istanbul and Mumbai–Istanbul routes will be changed to the Airbus A320neo.
With this adjustment, IndiGo is revising its operational planning, and the addition of a fuel stop is expected to have an impact on both flight times and capacity planning.
