IATA 82nd Annual General Meeting to Be Held in Brazil in 2026
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has announced that its 82nd Annual General Meeting and World Air Transport Summit will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil’s renowned tourist destination, in 2026. The event is scheduled for June 6–8, 2026.
LATAM Airlines has been named the host airline for the meeting. The announcement was made during the ongoing 2025 General Meeting, where the nomination committee for the upcoming year was also introduced. A promotional video featuring the stunning scenery of Rio de Janeiro was displayed on large screens at the venue.
During the event, the proposed members for the 2025 Nomination Committee were also revealed. Senior executives from leading global airlines such as Air France-KLM, All Nippon Airways, Turkish Airlines, Atlas Air, and Austrian Airlines are among those nominated.
IATA’s Annual General Meetings are recognized as pivotal platforms where decisions that shape the future of the aviation industry are made, and where major global strategies and policies are established.
