Val Kilmer, one of Hollywood’s legendary actors, has passed away at the age of 65 in Los Angeles. According to a statement by his daughter, Mercedes Kilmer, the iconic actor died due to pneumonia. Kilmer had been diagnosed with throat cancer in 2014 but had successfully overcome the illness.

He is best remembered for his portrayal of Tom “Iceman” Kazansky in the 1986 blockbuster Top Gun. His performance as the rival of Tom Cruise’s character, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, earned him a prominent place in cinematic history. Despite his ongoing health challenges, Kilmer reprised his role as Iceman in the 2022 sequel Top Gun: Maverick, reuniting with fans and leaving a lasting impression.
