Etihad Places Order for 28 Widebody Boeing Jets During Trump’s UAE Visit

During former U.S. President Donald Trump’s visit to the United Arab Emirates as part of his Middle East tour, Etihad Airways placed an order for a total of 28 Boeing aircraft, including 787 and 777X models. The deal, valued at approximately $14.5 billion, is expected to see deliveries begin in 2028.

The agreement also includes GE engines and a technical support package. Boeing has not yet officially confirmed the order. This development is seen as a move that will strengthen Boeing’s position in the widebody segment within the Middle East market.
