
The UAE’s national carrier Etihad Airways has signed a sponsorship agreement with the McLaren Formula 1 Team and the United Autosports WEC Hypercar program, starting from the 2026 season and extending beyond.
Under the partnership, Etihad branding will feature prominently on McLaren’s Formula 1 cars as well as within its World Endurance Championship Hypercar program. The airline’s logo is also expected to appear on driver race suits and other team assets.
As part of the agreement, a special McLaren-themed Boeing 787 Dreamliner will join the Etihad fleet in a unique livery, further strengthening the visual collaboration between aviation and motorsport.
Etihad has been active in global motorsport for years, serving as title sponsor of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix since 2009. The new McLaren partnership signals a broader and more integrated presence in elite racing categories across both Formula 1 and endurance
