Etihad Airways, the flag carrier of the United Arab Emirates, and Spanish airline Air Europa are set to expand their partnership to enhance global connectivity. By deepening their cooperation in sales and operations, both airlines aim to provide passengers with more flight options, improved services, and additional benefits.
Starting from the 2025 summer season, Etihad Airways plans to increase flights to Air Europa’s Madrid hub. This initiative will facilitate travel between Abu Dhabi and Spain, while also strengthening connections between Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia. The expansion will create a more efficient transfer network, ensuring seamless travel experiences for passengers.
Etihad Airways and Air Europa are currently operating under a bilateral codeshare agreement, allowing frequent flyer members to earn and redeem miles on each other’s flights. The new agreement will further strengthen Air Europa’s presence in the Middle East and Asia, while enabling Etihad Airways to offer broader connectivity through its Abu Dhabi hub.
