Entry Denials for Turkish Citizens Continue in Moldova

👉🏼 Several Turkish nationals traveling from Istanbul to Moldova were denied entry into the country, despite having hotel reservations, return tickets, and valid travel health insurance. The passengers were interrogated at passport control and deported by Moldovan authorities.

👉🏼 Among those deported were an artist who runs an art gallery and two authors of philosophy books. According to available information, these individuals were held for nearly 24 hours in a restricted zone of the airport. They are expected to be sent back to Turkey tomorrow morning.

👉🏼 It remains unclear when the increasingly discriminatory practices against Turkish citizens in Moldova will come to an end.
