Emirates has set a new record for baggage handling at Dubai International Airport (DXB) during the period from April 2024 to March 2025. The airline processed an average of 2.8 million bags per month, handling over 100,000 bags daily between Dubai and 140 destinations worldwide. This represents a 3.7% increase compared to the previous year.
In a statement, Emirates reported maintaining a 99.9% success rate in baggage handling despite its complex operations, positioning the airline among the world’s top performers. The rate of lost, delayed, or mishandled baggage was just 1.4 per 1,000 bags—nearly 30 times lower than the industry average.
