Embraer is in talks with Poland, Finland, and Turkey to expand the export of its KC-390 military transport aircraft. Brazilian Defense Minister Jose Mucio stated at the LAAD conference in Rio de Janeiro that negotiations to increase KC-390 sales are ongoing and that they remain optimistic about the process.
Additionally, a memorandum of understanding signed between Embraer and Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) aims to explore industrial cooperation opportunities, including the potential production of E-Jet E2 aircraft in Turkey.
The KC-390 stands out for its high payload capacity, speed, and versatility. The aircraft can carry up to 26 tons of cargo and reach a speed of 870 km/h. It is capable of performing a variety of missions, including personnel and cargo transport, medical evacuation, aerial refueling, search and rescue, and humanitarian aid operations.
