Embraer Delivers Its 2,000th Business Jet

Embraer has reached a major milestone in its history by delivering its 2,000th business jet. The aircraft, a Praetor 500, was handed over to an undisclosed corporate flight department during a ceremony at the company’s Executive Jets Global Customer Center in Melbourne, Florida.

Praetor 500: The Most Advanced in Its ClassThe Praetor 500 stands out as the most advanced business jet in its segment in terms of range, speed, and performance. It can fly nonstop on routes such as Miami–Seattle or Los Angeles–New York. With four passengers and NBAA IFR reserves, it offers a range of 3,340 nautical miles (6,186 km).

CEO’s StatementMichael Amalfitano, President & CEO of Embraer Executive Jets, said:“Delivering our 2,000th business jet is more than just a number. It reflects the strength of our product portfolio, our commitment to customers, and the dedication of our employees who proudly build every aircraft. The Praetor 500 and 600 have become the models of choice for large corporate flight departments thanks to their innovative technologies and superior performance.”

Balancing Technology and PerformanceThe Praetor 500 and 600 are equipped with full fly-by-wire systems and active turbulence reduction technology, features typically found on larger jets. They also combine short-field performance, similar to smaller aircraft, with long-range capabilities, giving operators access to more destinations.

Steady GrowthSince its first delivery in 2002, Embraer’s business jet division has achieved an average annual compound growth rate of 14%. In 2024 alone, nearly one-third of small and midsize cabin jet deliveries came from Embraer’s Phenom and Praetor families.
