Egypt’s flag carrier EgyptAir is set to expand its U.S. operations in mid-2026 with the launch of new Cairo–Chicago and Cairo–Los Angeles services. The new routes are considered a key step in the airline’s long-haul growth strategy.
Starting May 23, 2026, EgyptAir will operate three weekly flights between Cairo and Los Angeles. The service will run on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. With a westbound block time approaching 15 hours, the Los Angeles route will become the longest in the airline’s network.
Following this, on June 21, 2026, the Cairo–Chicago route will be introduced. The service will operate three times weekly on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Both routes will be served by EgyptAir’s new Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
