Delta Air Lines Signs Deal for Amazon Satellite Internet

Delta Air Lines has announced that it has signed an agreement with Amazon’s Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite network for its in-flight connectivity services.
Under the agreement, the service is initially planned to be implemented on 500 aircraft in Delta’s fleet. Installations are expected to begin in 2028.
While the provided internet speeds are expected to reach up to 1 Gbps, the service will be offered free of charge to members of the airline’s loyalty program.
With this deal, Delta becomes the second airline to utilize Amazon’s satellite internet service. The system, similar to SpaceX’s Starlink, relies on a network of low earth orbit (LEO) satellites.
