With its innovative and dynamic approach, Corendon Airlines continues to make a mark in the aviation sector. The airline’s Chairman of the Board, Yıldıray Karaer, held significant meetings with Egypt’s top officials.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, Corendon Airlines, known as a “holiday airline,” is taking important steps to increase the number of tourists it brings to Egypt, one of its active destinations.

In line with this goal, Chairman Yıldıray Karaer and COO Atılay Batu met with Egypt’s Minister of Civil Aviation, Dr. Sameh El Hefny, and Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Sherif Fathy, in Cairo. During the productive discussions, Karaer shared Corendon Airlines’ strategic vision and future plans for the Egyptian market in detail.

Flights to Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada

Placing great importance on Egypt with its geographical beauty and historical heritage, Corendon Airlines is expanding its operations in the region. In addition to flights to the popular resort destination of Sharm El-Sheikh, the airline will launch daily direct flights from Amsterdam, Netherlands, to Hurghada starting July 1. Corendon also operates flights to Marsa Alam, another growing tourism region in Egypt.

Highlighting the goal of becoming a key player in Egypt’s tourism sector, Karaer stated:
“As Corendon Airlines and Corendon Tourism Group, we are making significant contributions to Egyptian tourism. In the upcoming period, we aim to establish strong partnerships to deliver greater value to both our guests and the industry.”

Corendon to Participate in the Africa Tourism Forum in Egypt

Corendon Airlines will also participate in the Africa Tourism Forum, which will be held on September 13-14, 2025, at the Rixos Hotel in Sharm El-Sheikh. Through its participation, the airline will once again emphasize its commitment to Egyptian tourism and aims to explore new collaboration opportunities with industry professionals during the event.
