Condor Airlines Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Italy

On Saturday, August 16, Condor Airlines flight #DE3665, en route from Corfu to Düsseldorf, was forced to make an emergency landing at Brindisi Airport in Italy due to a technical issue with one of its engines. Shortly after takeoff, flames were seen coming from the right engine of the Boeing 757 aircraft. Birds were also spotted along the route, though it has not been confirmed whether a bird strike caused the incident.

The aircraft remained in the air for about 40 minutes before landing safely in Brindisi at 20:15. All 273 passengers and 8 crew members were reported to be in good health. Following the incident, Condor Airlines issued a statement: “The safety of our passengers and employees is always our top priority.”

According to passengers, the aircraft experienced a brief power loss during the flight, which caused panic on board. Technical inspections of the aircraft are ongoing.
