CENTCOM: 3 U.S. Service Members Killed, 5 Seriously Injured in Operation
The United States Central Command (United States Central Command) announced that as of 09:30 on March 1, three U.S. service members were killed in action and five others were seriously wounded during “Operation Epic Fury.”
The statement noted that some personnel were lightly affected by shrapnel injuries and concussions and are currently in the process of returning to duty. CENTCOM added that large-scale combat operations remain ongoing and that intervention efforts are continuing.
Due to the fluid nature of the situation, the command stated that the identities of the fallen service members will not be released until 24 hours after their families have been notified.
