Canada Rejects Turkish Airlines’ Request for Additional Summer Flights 🇹🇷✈️❌🇨🇦
➡️ Canada has denied Turkish Airlines’ (THY) request to operate additional flights during the summer season. According to CH-Aviation, THY applied to increase its flights to Canada, but authorities did not approve the request. The airline had planned one additional flight to Toronto and Vancouver and two extra flights to Montreal for the summer period.
➡️ However, it was noted that all available flight rights under the current aviation agreement between the two countries have already been fully utilized. Turkish Airlines currently operates flights to Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver, but aimed to add extra services to meet increased passenger demand during the summer season.
➡️ Canada’s decision is seen as a significant development in the air transport relations between the two countries. Industry experts suggest that new negotiations between Turkey and Canada could take place in the future.
