British Airways Fined £3.2 Million

British Airways has been fined £3.2 million after two ground handling staff were seriously injured in separate incidents involving loading equipment at Heathrow Airport.
In the case heard at Southwark Crown Court, it was stated that Ravinder Teji suffered back and head injuries in 2022 after falling from a telelift, while Shahjahan Malik sustained a brain hemorrhage in 2023 after falling three meters from TLD equipment.
Both accidents were attributed to inadequate safety measures on the loading equipment. British Airways admitted to breaching the Work at Height Regulations.
