Bridges Air Cargo Launches Operations with First Embraer E190F Freighter

Bridges Air Cargo has begun operations with the first Embraer E190F E-Freighter in Europe. The aircraft completed its first commercial flight from Cologne Bonn Airport to Larnaca International Airport carrying time-sensitive express cargo.

The aircraft will operate within the Bridges Worldwide network, providing logistics solutions for the express industry across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Bridges Group CEO Guy Bridges said the company spent the past year developing dedicated containers and handling systems for the aircraft, which is expected to serve the express market with payloads of 8–12 tonnes.

Developed by Embraer under its passenger-to-freighter conversion program, the E190F offers more than 40 percent additional cargo volume, up to three times the range of large cargo turboprops, and a maximum structural payload of 13,500 kilograms.
