Bombardier Delivers Its First Global 8000 Business Jet

Bombardier has held a ceremony to mark the delivery of the first Global 8000, the company’s newest model capable of cruising at Mach 0.95, announcing that the aircraft will replace Dovigi’s current Global 7500. Although the Global 8000 already holds Canadian certification, commercial flight approvals in Europe and the United States are expected to be granted in early 2026.

The development of the Global 8000 began in 2010, but priority at the time was given to the Global 7500. Bombardier announced in 2022 that the 8000 would become the most advanced model in its lineup. Owners of the Global 7500 will be able to upgrade their aircraft to the 8000 standard for around 3 million dollars. This upgrade includes additional fuel tanks, updated systems, and software optimizations, which will increase the aircraft’s range by 555 km and enhance cabin comfort.
