“Bomb Joke” Causes Panic on Istanbul–Batman Flight

A passenger caused panic on Turkish Airlines flight #TK2682 from Istanbul to Batman after joking, “It’s like I have a bomb on me,” on board an Airbus A321 registered TC-JRR. The passenger was removed from the aircraft by police.

According to reports, the incident occurred after boarding was completed. Upon hearing the passenger make the comment “It’s like I have a bomb on me,” the cabin crew immediately informed the cockpit, which then requested the presence of the police. The passenger was offloaded, and unruly passenger procedures were applied.

The aircraft later departed Istanbul Airport with a delay to continue its flight to Batman.
