Boeing Trails Airbus in Deliveries

July 2025 delivery data for the world’s two leading aircraft manufacturers, Boeing and Airbus, has been released. During this period, Boeing delivered 48 aircraft, while Airbus delivered 67. The largest share of Boeing’s deliveries came from the narrow-body 737 MAX family, with 37 units, while Airbus was led by the A320neo family, with 54 units.
Since the start of the year, Airbus has delivered a total of 373 aircraft to 72 customers, while Boeing’s deliveries stood at 328. The Europe-based manufacturer has maintained its pace despite challenges in engine supply. Currently, around 60 completed Airbus aircraft are awaiting delivery due to pending engine installations.
July was sluggish for both manufacturers in terms of orders. Boeing received only 31 orders, compared to 116 in June. Airbus, after receiving 203 orders in the previous month, secured just seven new aircraft orders in July.
Boeing’s order backlog has reached 5,968 aircraft, with the majority consisting of 737 MAX models. Despite current production limitations, Airbus plans to meet its target of delivering 820 aircraft by the end of 2025.
