AviLease Orders 30 Boeing 737 MAX Aircraft

Saudi Arabia-based leasing company AviLease has placed its first direct aircraft order with Boeing, signing an agreement for 20 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, along with options for an additional 10 units.
With an existing fleet of 200 aircraft leased to 48 airlines, this new order marks a significant step in AviLease’s ambition to become one of the top 10 global aircraft lessors. Thanks to its recently acquired investor-grade credit rating, AviLease now has access to all types of financial transactions, including direct purchases from manufacturers.
For Boeing, this order further strengthens the global position of the 737 MAX family, which currently accounts for about 30% of new aircraft deliveries worldwide.
The project also aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 aviation strategy. The Kingdom aims to handle 330 million passengers and welcome 150 million tourists annually by 2030. The newly ordered aircraft are not only part of the fleet expansion but also support the country’s goal of becoming a global aviation hub.
