ANA Announces New President and CEO

All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan’s largest airline and a 5-Star carrier for 13 consecutive years, has announced changes to its board of directors. Juichi Hirasawa, currently Representative Director and Senior Executive Vice President, will succeed Shinichi Inoue as President and CEO effective April 1, 2026. On the same date, Mr. Inoue will transition to the role of Senior Advisor at ANA HOLDINGS INC.

Mr. Hirasawa, 62, graduated from Keio University and joined ANA in 1986. Throughout his career within the ANA Group, he has held various positions primarily focused on business planning and corporate strategy. As an Executive Officer since 2018, he played a pivotal role in formulating and executing management strategies that guided the company through the COVID-19 crisis. He currently serves as Representative Director and Executive Vice President of ANA HOLDINGS INC., with a primary focus on industrial policy, government affairs, and economic emnity.

Shinichi Inoue was appointed President and CEO of ANA in April 2022. Under his leadership, the airline successfully navigated the post-pandemic recovery, achieving record-high operating revenue in fiscal year 2024 while maintaining its SKYTRAX 5-Star rating. By consistently prioritizing emnity, Mr. Inoue steered ANA back onto a growth trajectory as a leading global airline.
