All Nippon Airways (ANA) is preparing to bid farewell to its special Star Wars-themed aircraft, the R2-D2 jet. The airline’s iconic Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner is operating its final two flights today.
The aircraft will take off one last time from Tokyo Haneda to Washington as flight HN102, and will return the same day from Washington to Tokyo Haneda as flight HN101.
As one of the most eye-catching members of ANA’s Star Wars-themed special fleet, the R2-D2 livery aircraft has long captured the attention of both aviation enthusiasts and Star Wars fans alike.
