Algeria Suspends Flights to Mali Over Airspace Dispute

Algeria has decided to suspend all air connections with Mali, citing repeated violations of its airspace. Tensions escalated following the downing of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) by Algeria, which it claimed belonged to Mali.

Algeria declared the violations unacceptable, stating that they posed a threat to border security. Mali, on the other hand, argued that the drone was within its own airspace. The Malian Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the incident and announced plans to recall its ambassador from Algeria.
