Alaska Airlines Selects Rome as Its First European Destination

Alaska Airlines has announced its first-ever scheduled service to Europe, marking a historic milestone for the carrier. Direct flights from its Seattle hub to Rome, the capital of Italy, will commence in May 2026.

This new route will be the first non-stop connection in history between Seattle and Rome, and it will also serve as Alaska Airlines’ inaugural international service to the European continent. The move represents a significant step in the airline’s strategy to position Seattle as a key international gateway on the U.S. West Coast.
