AJet’s Postponed Damascus Flights to Begin

🛑 AJet is launching scheduled flights to Damascus, the capital of Syria. Flights will operate from both Sabiha Gökçen Airport and Ankara Esenboğa Airport. Initially planned to start on April 21, the flights were postponed due to certain developments between the two countries. However, no changes were made to the flight frequencies.

🛑 As of June 16, the Sabiha Gökçen–Damascus flights will operate 4 times a week, while the Ankara Esenboğa–Damascus flights will begin on June 17 with 3 weekly frequencies, on a reciprocal basis.

🛑 President Erdoğan, in a statement on the matter, announced that in addition to AJet, Syrian Airlines will also begin operating flights. Syria’s national airline, Syrian Airlines, will operate daily flights from Damascus to Istanbul Airport (IGA) starting June 10.
