AJet Launches Flights to Aleppo

After adding Syria’s capital Damascus to its network, AJet has now included Aleppo, the country’s historical and cultural center. The first flight from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Aleppo International Airport took place on Saturday, August 2. Istanbul–Aleppo flights will be operated four times a week in both directions.

Expanding its network steadily across the Middle East, Europe, Central Asia, and North Africa, Aleppo becomes AJet’s second destination in Syria. AJet operated its inaugural flight to Damascus on July 1, 2025, and launched its first flight to Aleppo from Sabiha Gökçen Airport on August 2, 2025.

Flight VF340 carrying AJet passengers was welcomed at Aleppo International Airport with a water salute and a ceremony, following aviation tradition, after a two-hour journey. The welcome ceremony in Aleppo was attended by representatives of the Syrian civil aviation authority, AJet senior management, and airport officials.
