
Air India Grounds 787-8 Aircraft Over Fuel Control Switch Issue
Air India announced that it has suspended operations of a Boeing 787-8 aircraft (registered VT-ANX) in its fleet after a potential fault related to the fuel control switch was reported.
In a statement, the airline said that after a pilot reported detecting a possible issue with the fuel control switch, the aircraft was grounded and priority technical inspections were launched in coordination with the manufacturer (OEM). India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) was also informed.
Air India stated that, in line with DGCA instructions, it inspected the fuel control switches on all Boeing 787 aircraft in its fleet and found no other issues.
The airline emphasized that passenger and crew safety is always its top priority.
