An Air India Express Boeing 737 operating flight #IX398 from Jeddah to Kozhikode diverted to Kochi due to a technical issue involving the right main landing gear tire.
According to officials, the tire damage is suspected to have been caused by a foreign object on the runway at Jeddah Airport. As a precaution, the aircraft was diverted to Kochi, where it landed safely. Passengers were subsequently transported to Kozhikode by road.
A technical investigation has been launched into the incident.
