Air India and Air Astana Sign Codeshare Agreement

Kazakhstan’s flag carrier Air Astana and India’s flag carrier Air India have signed a codeshare agreement.

The agreement was signed by Campbell Wilson, CEO & Managing Director of Air India, and Peter Foster, CEO of Air Astana.

Building on the existing interline partnership, the agreement will place Air India’s “AI” code on Air Astana’s Almaty–Delhi and Almaty–Mumbai routes. This will provide Indian passengers with easier access to Almaty, while Air Astana passengers will gain connectivity to 18 domestic destinations within India as well as international routes via Delhi and Mumbai.
